Hot Promotional Products for the New Year

The new year promises to be a bit of bumpy ride. With a compromising economy, presidential elections and growing competition from foreign countries, American businesses face a tough challenge in 2008. One of the big questions is how to best deploy budget dollars towards advertising, marketing and employee relations.

No matter the business or political climate, promotional products continue to be the most economical items to advertise your company or show your employees or staff how much they are appreciated. The term 'promotional products' can be deceiving. They are more then just pens or mugs with your organization's logo printed on them. Custom imprinted promotional items have evolved enough in recent years to become coveted corporate gifts.

For your trade show or convention, pens and magnets still make great giveaways. And a water bottle or hat will truly be appreciated at your summer picnic or charity race, but there are tens of thousands of items that can be made into keepsakes that will let your message be seen indefinitely. In effect, there are very few products that you can't put your logo or message on.

Here are some promotional products and gift ideas that are sure to bring smiles to your staff members in 2008...

Drinkware - As long as people have a thirst, promotional mugs, bottles and tumblers will be popular. But the days of the basic 32 oz. water bottle with a straw sticking out are gone. Custom drinkware means colorful translucent bottles made of odor resistant polycarbonate materials. Fancy lids and stylish curves make sports bottles the envy of everyone at they gym. The same goes for commuter mugs, glassware and ceramic coffee mugs. Terms like lime green and "diner" style are common when choosing designs.

Bags - Style and color rule. People want "Fifth Avenue" looking tote bags and "Wall Street" style messenger briefs. A basic beige canvas beach bag just won't cut it anymore. Promotional bags are not only useful gifts but great advertising billboards.

Electronics - People spend more and more time on their computers or portable devices. Why not provided a computer mouse, keyboard or USB device with your company name or logo. You can even imprint your message on MP4 players and stereo speakers.

Apparel - Custom imprinted tees and sweatshirts are now joined by fashionable dress shirts, jackets and other outerwear. Your logo gets some added class with an embroidered finish for all to see.

Keep in mind that almost any company, school or organization can afford to recognize customers and employees by handing out customized promotional items and corporate gifts. For as little as a few pennies, you can put a smile on those who mean so much to you.
