National Safety Month and Workplace safety

Are your employees in compliance with your company's safety regulations every day, around the clock? June marks our country's recognition of National Safety Month, but as you know, safety is a full time commitment.

Take the opportunity to educate your staff members on the principles of proper safety. Show proper safety techniques and rules for lifting, cleaning, storage, equipment, making repairs and many other topics that can effect their well being. Let them know the consequences of taking risks and the effect it will have on themselves and other team members.

Use Safety Month as time to celebrate, teach and reward employees. Then utilize the momentum to reinforce proper safety habits and practices throughout the year. Let everyone know they have a personal stake in the success of your safety program.

Make sure to hand out educational tools, incentives or rewards that have a relation to each topic.
